About Matt .
There's nothing better than handing someone a photo and watching them peer at it while a smile creeps across their face. It makes all of the driving, expensive equipment, and hours of editing worth it.

I love photography. It's the only career that I can imagine myself in for the rest of my life. I grew up printing in a make-shift darkroom in my family's basement. My first "real" camera was a totally manual, 1974 Pentax Spotmatic with screw on lenses. I thought it was awesome! I inherited it from a relative and quickly learned how the laws of photography interact to create a great exposure. Even today, while I use the most advanced digital equipment available, the basics from that old Pentax come into play with each click of the shutter.

If I'm not shooting or racing motocross (my other passion!), I'm reading how to make my images better. I constantly study technique, composition, equipment, editing, etc.
